Baby’s Day Out is a 1994 American adventure‑comedy directed by Patrick Read Johnson and penned by John Hughes, who also co‑produced. It tells the whimsical tale of Bink, a wealthy infant who is kidnapped by three bumbling crooks only to escape and embark on a comedic romp across Chicago. As the kidnappers bunglingly pursue him, Bink reenacts scenes from his favorite storybook—visiting the zoo, a construction site, and more—resulting in a string of slapstick misadventures. Despite its poor box office showing in the U.S., the film went on to achieve cult status, particularly in India where it was a pronounced success.
