Star Trek Generations

In the late 23rd century, the gala maiden voyage of the third Starship Enterprise is interrupted by a distress call from two transport ships trapped in a massive energy ribbon known as the Nexus. During the rescue mission, Captain James T. Kirk is seemingly killed while saving the ship. Seventy-eight years later, Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the crew of the Enterprise-D encounter Dr. Tolian Soran, a desperate scientist willing to destroy entire star systems to re-enter the Nexus—a timeless dimension of pure joy. To stop Soran's genocidal plan, Picard must enter the ribbon himself, where he finds Kirk alive in the past. The two legendary captains must join forces across time to save millions of lives in a final, climactic confrontation.
