Inspired by true events, the film chronicles the dual timelines of Ted Kaczynski's life, tracing his early days as a gifted 16-year-old Harvard mathematics prodigy subjected to brutal and unethical psychological experiments under Professor Henry Murray, alongside the extensive 1990s FBI investigation led by agent Joanne Miller that ultimately brought his deadly seventeen-year nationwide bombing campaign to an end.
